Crystal and Chelsea is a half-hour comedy series about Crystal, a psychic that scams white women who are racially insensitive or straight racist into becoming woke, learning how to navigate a friendship with her roommate, Chelsea, a white woman set on having the “pinterest perfect” life.

Vision for the show:
Crystal & Chelsea is a half-hour comedy series that follows Crystal (27), a black psychic who scams white women into becoming woke (by threatening them with black spirits haunting them), as she begrudgingly befriends one of her victims, Chelsea (26), a white woman who is obsessed with seeming to have a “Pinterest perfect” life. By the end of the pilot, they turn from scammer and scammee’ to roommates, along with Crystal’s carnival psychic mother, Mama Sheila. Throughout the series, we will see both women help each other get over their traumas through their friendship, while falling into a plethora of escapades. In addition, each woman will reconcile their relationship with men. Crystal will learn to work through her trust issues and learn how to commit to one partner, while Chelsea will learn how to become the woman she wants to be, before modeling herself over whatever man she is with wants.
Both women will receive guidance from each other, their mothers, and their self actualizations. But in the end, they will always have each other. So in a way, Crystal & Chelsea is a love story, centered around female friendship.
