Neal (50), a hard partying vintage jewelry store owner is beaten and then given an ultimatum by Sammy and Todd from the local Italian mob to perform a hit for them when Neal can’t pay back his gambling debts. Neal tries to trick his lifelong CPA friend Jon (59) into helping with this scheme by claiming he just wants to try something new and hitmen is one of his stupid ideas. A local Irish gang learns that their precious cache of jewels
has been stolen and they interrogate their own men to find the culprits. Neal fools Jon into meeting with Gary (45), a businessman that wants his partner Joe (40) killed. Jon only commits to sitting through the meeting. During the discussion Joe interrupts and Gary introduces the target to his potential assassins. Jon is furious with Neal and so refuses to help further
but Jon’s daughter is threatened by mobsters and now feels he has no choice. Neal hatches a plan to kill Joe which involves throwing a dead
bird at his window. Neal and Jon sneak into Joe’s backyard dressed in beekeeper suits but when the plan fails Neal decides to improvise. Joe catches the two arguing under the backyard deck. Neal draws his gun but doesn’t shoot and Joe runs off into the woods. Neal chases with Jon reluctantly following.
